NHS offering free cat adoptions

Posted
Due to overcrowding, the Nebraska Humane Society is offering free cat adoptions.

Starting Tuesday, all cats six months and up are free. Kittens are two for one at $75 dollars. All of the cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, tested for feline leukemia, and have their first shots.

Right now, the Nebraska Humane Society has 75 cats and kittens ready for adoption. They also have 60 cats at area PetSmarts, and more than 100 kittens in foster care which will need kennels when they are ready for adoption.

The Humane Society also asks people who need to give up their cat to find a friend, family member, or someone else to take the cat, or keep it until a time when the Humane Society's shelter isn't as full.
