The Nebraska State Patrol has kicked off special enforcement targeting speeding motorcyclists in Douglas and Sarpy Counties.
The State Patrol says the state's motorcycle fatality rate hit a 20-year high last year with 26 deaths. Nearly 40 percent of those occurred in Omaha.
The enforcement comes after troopers noticed an increase in "young operators" driving recklessly.
