OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — From carolers to holiday lights, the season offers a lot to take in but all of that can be overwhelming for some children.
Sunday night, the Omaha Children's Museum held their Sensory Santa event, which is designed specifically for children with Autism.
The kids were ale to play through throughout the museum and got a visit from Santa and parents said they are grateful for a holiday event for aimed at their children.
"We were really excited when we saw this event come up and thought 'I think we can handle this in this kind of setting,'" said Theresa Norris, whose son attended the event. "So we were really excited."
The Children's Museum has several sensory safe events each year.
