Omaha company faces lawsuit over faulty guardrails

Posted

Lindsay Corporation, an Omaha-based manufacturing company, is accused of being at fault for fatal car accidents in Tennessee.

Tennessee transportation officials said faulty guardrail caps produced by Lindsay Corporation did not protect motorists in two separate crashes that killed three people in 2016. The families of those who died in the crashes are suing the company for negligence.

Lindsay Corporation's Barrier Systems are one of the industry leaders and are used in many states throughout the country.

Lindsay Corp. said its product is safe and the allegations are without merit. The product in question, the X-Lite model, has passed all of the required safety tests and deemed safe by the Federal Highway Administration.
