Developers heard from the community on what to do with the empty space along the riverfront.
The Downtown Riverfront Trust announced at Monday's meeting that it will spend $1 million to study it.
Waterfront dining and beverage kiosks were popular ideas.
The Gene Leahy Mall and Heartland of America Park in Council Bluffs are also part of the focus.
Developers plan to have another public meeting in October.
