Omaha Fire Department welcomes 19 new members

Omaha, Neb. (KMTV) -  A new class of firefighters is ready to take to the streets of Omaha.

The 2017 graduating class, which had 19 members, were sworn in Friday and are now members of the Omaha Fire Department. The new firefighters completed 16 weeks of training and will report to stations across the city.

Fire chief Dan Olsen and Mayor Jean Stothert were both in attendance at the graduation ceremony.
