The Omaha metro area showed its support for slain Pottawattamie County Deputy Mark Burbridge. The day began with a memorial service at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Deputy Pat Morgan who was wounded during the events that claimed Burbridge's life was in attendance. Burbridge's three children also spoke during the ceremony which concluded with a touching 'last call." The memorial service concluded with a procession of over 1000 cars heading to the Hoy-Kilnoski funeral home in Council Bluffs.
