Omaha PD looking for homicide suspect

Officers with the Omaha Police Department have issued an arrest warrant for 32-year-old  Antone L. Page.

OPD officials say Page is wanted for first degree murder and 4 counts of attempted first degree murder in a homicide that occurred on the 4100 block of Hamilton St last week.

Shooting, Stabbing and fire at same location

On Friday, Omaha Police officers were dispatched to the 4150 block of Hamilton St.  at around 7:40 am.

Police were told someone at the scene was dousing everything with gasoline, and then a fire started.

Moments later, shots were fired.

One person was killed and was later identified as Steven C. Edwards. 

According to the autopsy reports Edwards was not struck by any gunfire from the officer who discharged his gun. 

Officials say 29-year-old Nathan J Buresh was the officer who discharged his duty handgun. 

The case is being investigated by the Omaha Police Department’s Officer-Involved Investigations Squad, the Omaha Police Department Homicide Unit, and the Omaha Fire Department Arson.
