OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police arrested a woman after a domestic violence incident Wednesday morning near 48th and Boyd.

Officers responded to a cutting call at 10:56 a.m. and found the victim, 25-year-old Jeffery Strong.

According to police, Strong said the mother of his child, Sherleicka Tyson, came to his apartment and started a disturbance.

Police say Tyson threw property from the second floor apartment and later armed herself with a knife.

Strong tried to flee on foot while Tyson chased him; however, Tyson eventually cut Strong with the knife, according to police.

He declined treatment from medics on-scene.

Tyson was located and booked at Douglas County Corrections for domestic violence felony assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, destruction of property and child neglect.
