The Omaha Police Department revealed its new transport van Tuesday.
Two donors came up with the money for the fugitive squad's new vehicle, which can hold up to six prisoners. The van includes a barrier to keep inmates separated and a way for officers to track their every move.
"With the cameras in there, we are able to physically watch suspects," Lieutenant Keith Williamson said, "so you'll have one officer driving and obviously watching the road, another that can watch our videos and see what they are doing at all times."
The new van replaces a 13-year-old model which could only have two or three prisoners in at a time.
