OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Your weekend plans may need to change. The Omaha St. Patrick's Day parade in the downtown area has been postponed due to "anticipated poor weather conditions on Saturday, which call for snow, ice and rain."

The event has been moved to Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. Organizers say they don't want participants exposed to conditions that could lead to accident or injuries.

The original post-parade is still planned this Saturday, March 9 at Annie's Irish Pub beginning at 11 a.m. Another post-parade party will be held on the day of the parade as well.
