OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police say an 81-year-old man died in a two-vehicle crash near N 56th St & Hartman Ave Saturday evening.

Investigation shows a 2007 Buick Lucerne was driving northbound on 56th St when the driver failed to completely stop for a stop sign and drove through the intersection.

The Buick was struck by an eastbound 2009 Toyota Highlander driven by Hsar Kwe Htoo, 34, traveling on Hartman Avenue, Omaha Police say.

The driver of the Buick, 81-year-old Nicholas Curto, Jr. and front passenger, Karen Curto, 79, were taken to Nebraska Medicine.

Nicholas was later pronounced dead due to his injuries.

Karen sustained a cervical fracture that is considered non-life threatening.
