An Omaha area man's persistence prompted a social media movement to bring back his favorite nationally distributed beer that had been discontinued.
In 2016, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. discontinued Flipside Red IPA. This week, the company announced the ale will be brewed once again because of one Bellevue man's mission.
Chad Hinton of Bellevue responded to about 140 different posts made on Sierra Nevada's Facebook page saying, "Bring back Flipside."
"I had a good time with it, and it was just fun for me and never in one million years did i think they would take my suggestions to heart. It shows they're a good company when they're loyal to their customer base and actually listen to their customers like that," Hinton explained.
The company says they discuss new brews and classic beers for their seasonal sampler pack, and Hinton's interest made the choice. Flipside Red IPA is now available for purchase across the country.
