OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department (OPD) says they've completed their "Click It or Ticket" campaign as of Sunday. With the announcement they've released the outcome of nine different operations carried out between May 20 - June 2.
Here are the results:
- Speeding 348
- Seatbelt 38
- Registration/Insurance 117
- Driver’s License Violations (Suspension/No License) 28
- Driving Under the Influence (DUI) 1
- Moving Violations 48
OPD wants to remind people that wearing a seatbelt is the best way to reduce your chances of death or serious injury during a crash. They say 6 of 11 fatal crashes investigated by the Accident Squad revealed "the deceased person wasn't wearing a seatbelt."
