OPD arrest two people in art prints and jewelry burglary

Omaha Police officials say they have arrested two people in connection to a burglary at Polk St. on Wednesday.

 OPD said that a resident in the 16000 block of Polk Street reported a burglary. 

The value of the property taken was estimated at over $60,000.00. 

These items included two valuable art prints and jewelry.

OPD's Burglary detectives and Uniform Patrol officers worked quickly to identify and arrest two suspects in this case. 

Officials said that both Eric and Jennifer Gollnick were apprehended on Thursday evening in the  2900 block of South 187th Plaza. 

According to authorities, the two suspects were about to leave Omaha with a U-Haul packed full of their belongings.  

Gollnick is the daughter of the burglary victim. 

The U-Haul was seized and the Detectives obtained a search warrant to look for the missing items from the burglary.  The two pieces of art prints were found in the U-haul truck.

The jewelry that was stolen during the burglary was not located. 

The jewelry is described as a sapphire bracelet and necklace set, and a pearl bracelet and necklace set.  Detectives are seeking any information about the missing jewelry.
