OPD collects hand grenades, land mine and firearms during Gun Amnesty Day

Thousands of pounds of ammunition, dozens of guns, a land mine and two hand grenades are off Omaha streets tonight.

Police posted pictures of the land mine, grenades and an artillery shell after today's Gun Amnesty Day. 

The Omaha Police Department joined forces with Eagle's Nest Worship Center for the effort.

Today - people turned in 35 handguns, 40 long guns and a variety of pellet and BB guns with no questions asked.
