Two Omaha Police officers are recovering from minor injuries after being involved in a crash that happened just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say the officers wre responding to a hit-and-run collision near 27th and Cuming to back up another officer. While heading there, police say the passenger side of the cruiser was struck by an eastbound car. Both vehicles suffered heavy damage.
After the crash, police say a 15-year-old teen in the other car got out and tried to flee the scene but was quickly located.
