Posted

Omaha Police and Douglas County Sheriff's deputies responded to a possible threat at an Elkhorn school today.

The school principal wrote parents saying they were dealing with a Snapchat by a student that included a picture of a pellet gun with the caption "gonna shoot up the school."

Investigators say the student was not at school today.

They have not released his name or whether he's been arrested.

Cops went through Elkhorn High School and determined there was no danger.

The principal thanked the students who reported the online threat.
