OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Earlier this morning, the Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) sent out a warning that outages were once again possible starting at about 9 a.m. While interruptions in service were avoided, it said outages may still be on the table according to an update. OPPD is reporting the same.
In a release, NPPD said:
"There had been anticipation that SPP would go to Level 3 at 9 a.m. We have been able to avoid service interruptions this morning but things may change quickly. SPP is currently remaining at a level 2. We will keep you informed if things change. We appreciate our customers' efforts to continue conserving energy."
The Omaha Public Power District also said rolling outages may be possible:
We will try to update you if additional outages become necessary. Please continue to conserve energy.
