OPS to discuss priorities and future today

Omaha Public Schools will hold a press conference to discuss priorities for summer, as well as the 2017-2018 school year to include academic achievement focus areas, a potential second bond issue and the implementation of a new student assignment plan at Lothrop Elementary. 

During the press conference, the superintendent Mark Evans, board president Lacey Merica and bond construction lead firm Jacobs Engineering will highlight the district’s priorities to continue the advancement of academic achievement, summer bond projects, a potential second bond issue and the upcoming implementation of the district’s new student assignment plan.

This is the first time Superintendent Mark Evans speaks to the media since contract negotiations to extend his contract for a year.
