OPS to hold interviews for Subdistrict 4 seat

Posted

The board for Omaha Public Schools will hold interviews for an empty seat in subdistrict four.

In November, voters sent former board member Justin Wayne to the state legislature.

The board is hoping to fill the seat as soon as possible.

Members will review applications and conduct interviews.

Since Justin Wayne, now a state senator left the board  and it's run into a few snags.

When the board voted for president, It went into deadlock with only eight members.

The board is suppose to screen and interview applicants...meeting with semifinalists later this month.

As for subdistrict four's seat, the board will review candidates Monday night.

Whoever is selected will be sworn-in on February 22nd.
