OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Adventure seekers had the opportunity to rappel off the Highline Tower apartment buildings in Omaha this afternoon for a good cause.

The event is called "Over the Edge" and the money goes to helping children through the group Greater Omaha Youth for Christ. People raise money and are "sponsored" to go down the side of the building.

The organizer of the event says it's not as scary as it may look.

"It's kind of exciting to look at it down here and see what it's like but that first step is the hardest when they tell you to trust the rope and lean back that's the hardest part but it is thrilling," said Ted Plugge, ministry director for Omaha Youth for Christ.
