The Nebraska Humane Society has criminally 52-year-old Bellevue man James C. Foster Jr. for a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty.

Foster is accused of leaving his English Bulldog on his balcony for an extended period of time on July 10, a day when temperatures reached the high-90s. The dog died of symptoms consistent to a heatstroke.
