Kayakers took to the water Sunday as part of the Paddle for Pink event raising money to fight breast cancer in Nebraska.
The Visiting Nurse Association partnered with Woggworks Kayaking for the fourth annual event at Standing Bear Lake.
The fees from the kayaking rentals will provide financial assistance for people undergoing breast cancer treatment in Nebraska and Iowa.
Breast cancer patient and advocate Stephanie Sass said the program has supported almost 900 people and provided $700,000 in aid since it began in 2010.
