The city of Papillion is taking steps forward to replace a rundown bridge intended keep kids out of harm's way.
The City Council voted Tuesday to approve the demolition and rebuilding of the pedestrian bridge on 84th street — a crosswalk for middle-school students.
Parents have told 3 News Now of the urgent need to get it fixed.
Tonight, the city is satisfied with the bid received for the project and that the kids will actually use the bridge.
