Papillion-La Vista South High School students got a lesson in online safety Thursday.
At a school assembly, students listened to attorney Karen Haase explain about digital footprints and cyber bullying.
Students said they are more aware of the impact a social media post can have.
"Definitely treating people with respect, always be kinds. And sometimes words can hurt people. Really watch yourself and be aware of what you post," said freshman Taylor Wilson.
Parents also got a lesson Thursday evening.
