Controversial councilman Pat Shannon will run for mayor of Bellevue
BELLEVUE, Neb. (KMTV) - Pat Shannon, the Bellevue city councilman known for his clashes with other city leaders, is running for mayor.
Shannon says he will focus on city finances and economic devolvement. He remains at odds with the city over his abandoned car wash near 28th and Capehart Road and is the focus of a recall effort.
So far, there is no word on whether or not Rita Sanders, the current Bellevue mayor, will seek re-election.
