The sun came out just enough for many to leave the coats at home and carry a light jacket.
"Just nice to be outdoors," said Bill Mariner.
The brutual temperatures finally let up.
"It's hard to shoot with gloves on, you can't feel your trigger, you cant feel the gun, it's a whole lot easier to shoot without gloves," said Mariner.
This group of friends say they've been waiting for a nice day to get together and trap shoot.
"I'm looking forward to the warmer weather that we are going to have coming up, these next few days will be beautiful, but Wednesday doesn't look as nice," said Paul Flierl
Because it's just not quite as much fun when it's cold and icy out.
"We are old, we don't want to break anything."
Making the best of it, even with ice and snow on the ground.
"My fingers tend to get numb below thirty degrees," said Mariner.
They say living in Nebraska you just never know.
"I'm sure it will snow a couple more times, we may get temps in the 60s, we may get snow one day, then temps in 60s the next day," said Mariner.
