People soak up last bit of sun

Posted

"Even though we enjoy this nice weather we haven't had any moisture and it's quite concerning."

People out soaking up the sun say they are looking for reasons not get down about this week's temperature drop.

"You don't get depressed, but I need the sun."

Just when people thought this 70 degree weather couldn't get any better, snow is on its way.

"We will see some slushy accumulation, although the heavy stuff with the winter storm is still to the north of us."

KMTV Meteorologist Ryan McPike says unfortunately it's time to trade your shorts for your coat.

"This is almost two weeks in a row, we have been above 50 degrees and about half of those have been above 60 maybe even 70."

"It's great to be outside this time of year."

In the next few days McPike says we will definitely feel the change.

" We are close to 75 this afternoon, down by Saturday, close to 20 degrees."

People aren’t the only ones dealing with the shifty weather.

"The trees are thinking spring is here, so that’s what makes it more susceptible to frost and freezing weather."

With tree fruits beginning to bud colder temperatures later this week may be a setback for planters.

"We just have to wait and see what Mother Nature gives us"

"Spring is right around the corner we'll be back to it."
