Golfers are back on the green after the web.com tour took a hiatus from Omaha.
"It’s a big deal that these things are coming to us."
People from all over are gathering in Elkhorn this weekend for the finale of the Pinnacle Bank Championship.
"We are probably going to be close to 10,000 people today."
People say it's been awhile since Omaha has had a golfing event this notable.
"I think it's a great idea that they brought it back to Omaha, it shows the vibrance of the community, there's a lot of community support out here.”
“You got people coming from all surrounding towns."
Organizer says they purposely set the event up for people to get a real championship experience and modeled it after the Cox Classic.
"We had great attendance numbers on Thursday, we had almost five thousand people, on Friday we had 66 hundred."
Speaking with golf lovers they say staff went above and beyond this year and they are only expecting the tournament to get bigger.
"It’s easy to navigate, easy to have a good time."
Now in its third round, golfers are going hard for that championship title.
"Everything is in full swing, so you can really come out and see the tournament at its peak.”
