OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Police are investigating two non-fatal shooting that occurred overnight.
63rd and Camden Ave.
The first incident occurred near the area of 63rd and Camden Ave. a little after midnight. When officers arrived they located 28-year-old John Boston with a gunshot wound.
Boston told officers he was sitting in a vehicle when unknown suspects driving by shot at him. Omaha Fire Department medics transported Boston to the Nebraska Medical Center. Boston's injury is believed to be non-life threatening.
4300 block of N. 31st. Ave.
The second case incident occurred near the 4300 block of N. 31st. Ave. Omaha Police responded were called out at 9:26 p.m. to investigate a shooting.
Officers spoke with the victim, 51-year-old Thomas Moore, who said he heard someone pounding on his door demanding entry into the residence. Another person in the house opened the door for the suspect.
The suspect and Moore were involved in a physical altercation, during which the suspect discharged a firearm, striking Moore. The suspect fled the area in a blue car with a spoiler.
Omaha Fire Department medics transported Moore to the Nebraska Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.
