LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Two Nebraska inmates could end up serving more time as investigators look into two separate attacks in Lincoln Wednesday.
Both assaults happened at the Lincoln Correctional Center yesterday. State corrections officials say the first happened around 1 p.m. when an inmate approached a staff member from behind and punched him in the face. The staff member got a concussion and chipped tooth from the attack.
Around 6:30 p.m., another inmate hit a staff member on the side of her face. She got a concussion from the attack. Both victims went to the hospital for treatment. In both cases, other staff members helped bring the suspects under control.
