On Sunday, the rain kept coming down all day long.
On roads and on sidewalks, you couldn't escape the downpours.
"We are down here for a special girls weekend and we had some plans that's failed because of the rain," said Kathy Pettengill.
A similar story just a few blocks away.
"I'm all done with finals so we're just kind of celebrating but it's kind of hard to celebrate in the rain, what can you do?" said Sydni Rowen.
The weather didn't just drench people's Sunday plans, this Grinch stole an important shopping day.
"With the weather being what it is, it's not only slowing businesses down a little bit but it's also kind of hard for people to get in the mentality that winter is here when it's raining outside," said Brian Tipton, sales associate of Overland Sheepskin and Leather.
Tipton even wishing for a trade-off in favor of snow.
"We would love for it to be snow, it's kind of hard imagining fur coats and leather items when it's feeling like October weather," said Tipton.
But because you can't stop Mother Nature, some are looking on the bright side, even if it means the sleds stay inside.
"We were going to do a ice skating, that's going to be a little wet and then we were going to do the horse and carriage but they canceled our reservations so we're just doing other things," said Pettengill.
