The police chief said investigators were able to find a fingerprint on a skimmer and the Douglas County Crime Lab processed it to identify a suspect. Chief Murtaugh said investigators found connections in Georgia and Florida, and they are close to turning the case over for federal prosecution. Chief Murtaugh did not give the name of the suspected criminal. He again reminded people to be vigilant checking their bank records for fraudulent activity.
The Ralston Police Department says two credit card skimming devices were found in gas station pumps at the Super Store at 83rd and Harrison on December 30th.

Then, in early January, the Ralston Police Department discovered another device at a MegaSaver at the intersection of 72nd and Harrison streets after the business had a professional examined its pumps.
