Time is winding down for homeowners in Millard who want to vote in the school district's levy override election.
The Douglas County Election Commission says Friday is the deadline to get registered. That means you need to be signed up at the DMV, state offices or online by 5 p.m. Friday. If you register by mail, it needs to be postmarked by Friday as well.
The district mailed out ballots on Monday to decide if it can raise the tax levy. If voters say yes, it would cost an extra $135 on a $150,000 home in Millard.
Administrators believe it would generate another $9 million.
Ballots are due by Nov. 14.
