Salvadorans living in Nebraska are fearful the end of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program will mean their life in the U.S. is over.

Immigrants like 20-year-old Cesar Magaña Linares, who came with his family when he was 2 years old from El Salvador will have to return to their country.

On Monday, Homeland Security announced the end of the humanitarian program that affects people from El Salvador who have been allowed to live and work legally in the United States, after two earthquakes hit the country in 2001.

Linares, who is studying to become an immigration lawyer at UNO says his goal to become an attorney may no longer be a possibility.
