A repeat drunk driver learned his fate in Douglas County Court Wednesday in the 2016 DUI crash that killed another man.
A judge sentenced 60-year-old Kevin Malone to 40-50 years in prison for motor vehicle homicide and manslaughter.
Malone was drinking and taking pills when he struck and killed Justin Hart, who was on his motorcycle at 140th and Center near Harvey Oaks last August.
Hart died at the scene.
Malone was on probation for previous drunk driving arrests and was supposed to have an ignition interlock device in his car, when he crashed it.
Malone tried to pick up parts of his vehicle before taking off.
Malone will be released from prison in 25 years.
