Omaha Police are investigating a shooting that occurred near 42nd and Redman Friday afternoon.
According to OPD, they responded to the shooting at around 12:45 p.m.
A gang unit officer was in the area and saw two vehicles leaving the scene.
Officials said one vehicle showed up in a local hospital with one victim with a gunshot wound.
They said the victim is alert but the condition is unknown.
OPD is currently looking for witnesses in the area.
A neighbor told KMTV that he heard a few pops.
At first, he thought it was a firecracker but then heard louder popping noises again.
OPD are currently looking for suspects. It's unknown how many suspects were invovled.

There is a huge police presence in the area.
Officials say with warm weather and holiday weekend could mean more violence this weekend,
As of result, they are going to be extra patrols out in the streets.
