OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Road work is always abundant in the Omaha area, and there are two more projects to be aware of moving forward.
Giles Road is closed between 168th Avenue and 180th Streets so crews can replace sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure, along with paving the road. This is Part I of two-part of a project by Sarpy County to pave Giles Road between 168th to 192nd Streets. At the completion of Part I, construction will shift west and Giles Road will close between 180th and 192nd Streets to complete the project. The closures are scheduled through at least May 2020, depending on weather conditions.
As of last Friday, West Center Road between South 97th Street and South 105th Street will have westbound traffic shifted to the Eastbound lane for utility work on the North side of the street. This section of road will be closed for a week.
