A group of runners is making the trek across the country to raise money for cancer research. They stopped through Omaha and visited the Pamela and Fred Buffett Cancer Center this morning.

4k for cancer, a national running group combines cancer outreach and fundraising with millennials. For the past two years, during a four thousand mile run, the group has stopped to visit cancer patients in Nebraska. This is their 3rd year.

"My mom had cancer twice, and then my grandfather passed away from cancer, and my aunt, who is the reason I chose to do the trip, passed away a couple of days before I was born for young adult cancer,"Emily Bourque said.

Today, it's a rest day for running. But it's a full day for the spirit. It's art therapy. The activity fits with the Buffett Cancer Center healing arts program. From the Chihuly sanctuary, to painting, art is reducing the pain and aguish associated with the path to healing.
