The Salvation Army is holding a volunteer training for those being deployed to the hurricane relief zones.
The training will cover three areas: disaster food and canteen operations, incident comman system and emotional and spitual care.
The Salvation Army is accepting new volunteers who pass a background check and complete the beginner and online courses.
The in-person training clases are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 8 a.m. to noon on Sept. 19. Both days are at the Gene Eppley Camp in Bellevue.
