A Sarpy County leadership team and a group called Second Nature Public Recycling is coming together to put 50 recycling bins around parks, sports facilities and other public venues in Sarpy County.
This is an effort to help keep public places in Sarpy County free from plastic bottles and trash that can easily be recycled, especially at the parks.
The Parks Department in each city will collect the recyclable items.
This is an effort to get more of the community involved with picking up trash rather than having the city come out and clean the public parks.
Advertising opportunities will also we offered to local businesses to place their ads on the bins.
