A big crowd turned out Thursday night to learn more about a construction project that will directly affect them.
Sarpy County officials laid out the timeline for widening Harrison Street between 147th and 157th Street to four lanes at an open house at Anderson Middle School.
Prep work began in the fall, and widening the road starts next month. County Engineer Benny Wilson says they are listening to neighbor's concerns. "We've made sure that we've held meetings throughout the project. We've had about a year and eight months and that way we can address concerns, we can take input from people and of course we have a website so social media aspects can be delivered to people at their request.."
The project is scheduled to be completed in late 2019.
