A convicted serial rapist may never walk the streets again following his sentencing Monday.
A Douglas County judge handed Christopher Ennis a 90 to 100 year sentence after he pleaded no contest to two counts of sexual assaults. Prosecutors dismissed seven other charges as part of Ennis' plea agreement.
Ennis would sneak up behind his victims, choking them, dragging them to an alley or secluded area, and raping them. Almost all of the attacks happened within about a one mile radius of his address which was listed near 28th and Corby. Some victims were able to pick him out of a photo lineup. One woman led police to Ennis by identifying his vehicle. But it was DNA evidence that ultimately secured the convictions.
