OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) -- — We're learning more about the men accused of kidnapping and enticing a child.

Robert J. Williams, 34, is booked for kidnapping, child enticement, and attempted sexual assault of a child. Antonio Johnson, 32, is arrested for two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony.

Police say they're connected to two incidents from the morning of May 4. They say the men tried to abduct a young girl outside her home, and then tried to get a 15-year-old girl in their vehicle at a convenience store at 66th & Blondo St. The clerk inside called 911, and police later arrested the men.

Williams is a convicted sex offender who was released from prison in December for possessing child porn. Johnson has served jail time for misdemeanors including soliciting prostitution. His mother tells KMTV this was not in his character.

Angela Roeber with Project Harmony says 90% of the time a child is abused or hurt by someone they know, but it's another reminder to talk to your kids about being safe.

"This really does not happen very often it's really an anomaly but that doesn't mean we still shouldn't be vigilant, it still can happen,” Roeber explained. "Just being vigilant knowing where our children are at, keeping an eye on them, and having those conversations with them so that they understand how to react and respond to different situations.”

Johnson and Williams will have a court appearance and have their bonds set on Tuesday.
