Sheriff's deputies: Two arrested on drug, weapons charges had fentanyl

A man and woman arrested Thursday afternoon were in possession of assorted weapons and drugs, including fentanyl, and a stolen motorcyle, Douglas County Sheriff's Deputies said Friday.

"Fentanyl is extremely hazardous to anyone that comes into contact with the drug," the release states, "It poses a significant threat to law enforcement, first responders, and property, evidence, and laboratory personnel that have to test the drug." 

At about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies conducted a search in the 10700 block of M Street after receiving reports that the residents there were dealing methamphetamine, heroin, pills and fenanyl, according to a release from the sheriff's department. Deputies reported finding up two ounces of meth, about 10 grams of fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, two loaded handguns, two sets of brass knuckles, as well as packing materials, drug scales, and a motorcycle that had been reported stolen.

Michael Suggitt, 22, of Omaha, and Jessica Kleckner, 36, of Papillion, who is seven months pregnant and has seven other children who are wards of the state, were each arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; carrying a concealed weapon; and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person, the release states.
