Hours after the chase first began, investigators continue to search in a marsh area in Valley.
Sgt. Jason Scott with the Nebraska State Patrol couldn't confirm whether they were looking for a weapon. But did say they're looking for a specific item.
Right after daylight, NSP’s helicopter and k-9's searched for evidence.
Crime lab combed the ground as investigators got an aerial view of the scene near Reichmuth and Fort.
The crime scene stretched from this marsh - all the way to a Menard's distribution center.
A major evidence, a white Toyota sedan which investigators say was stolen.
"After shots were fired, he lost control of the vehicle. He fled on foot, NSP Sgt. Jason Scott said.
The trooper is okay.
NSP officials said the chase began at midnight in waterloo.
Omaha Police's able one and K-9 officer helped locate the teen hiding in Menard’s.
They took him into custody and then to a hospital after the k-9 bit him.
So far, NSP hasn't released what sort of charges this teen will face.
They are speaking with the Douglas County attorney to see what they could look like.
