OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - An early morning crash involving a trooper and driver sends them to a hospital.
At around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, dispatch said the collision happened on I-680 just south of Blondo St.
Our content partner at the Omaha World-Herald reports both vehicles traveled northbound just before a driver allegedly rear-ended a Nebraska State Patrol cruiser.
The trooper suffered non-life threatening serious injuries while the other person is listed in critical condition, according to authorities.
NSP later tweeted the trooper is expected to be okay.
Someone familiar with the investigation told 3 News Now authorities are looking into whether the other driver suffered a medical episode prior to the impact which sent both vehicles into a ditch.
