OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A vehicle was found partially submerged in the Missouri River Saturday afternoon near a boat ramp.

Council Bluffs police officers located the 4-door silver Dodge Intrepid, which was stuck due to ice and snow.

According to a press release from the Council Bluffs Police Department, Fire Department personnel checked inside to find the vehicle unoccupied. The vehicle was later determined stolen out of Fremont.

Arrow Towing successfully pulled the car out of the water after about 3 hours. Authorities are unsure why the vehicle was in the river and have no information on a potential suspect at this time.
