An Omaha woman says she was sexually harassed in broad daylight by a stranger near Midtown Crossing off 33rd and Harney. Now she's fighting to find out who the strange man is, and hold him accountable.
"I was just going about my day and I was working. And he did this to me," Sarah Kocsis-Kuhl said.
Kocsis is a professional dog walker. She says she was out Thursday morning around 11 a.m., walking between 35th and and 33rd and Harney.
According to a police report, that is when a white Jeep with no rear license plate and a loud muffler pulled up behind her. She says she turned the corner, thinking the driver might be following here. Then, the driver opened his door, exposing himself and masturbating in front of her.
"I don't even know how to describe how I feel. I feel traumatized. I feel like a victim. I don't know how to get over that right now. I am still going through those emotions. I didn't sleep last night," she said.
Kocsis snapped a picture and shared it on Facebook, where other commenters say they have seen the driver of a similar car with no plate do the same thing. She also filed a police report and notified Midtown Crossing Security and Nebraska Medicine- UNMC security.
KMTV spoke to Omaha police about this case. Officer Greg O'Neil says when an incident happens somewhere in Omaha with private security, like UNMC, it's up to private security to call in a criminal incident report to police. That being said, he added social media posts, or pictures, like the one Kocsis shared, helps cases immensely.
"I'm not just going to sit here and do nothing about it. I don't want it to happen to anybody else," Kocsis said.
